The General Directorate of Customs and Excise is organized into Central Services and Territorial and External Services
The General Directorate of Customs and Excise of Gabon (DGDDI) was created by decree on October 29, 1959 after the 1958 referendum, on the eve of independence.
From January 1975 to February 2006, it was governed by decree n°00039/PR of January 17, 1975, replaced by decree n°000152/PR/MEFBP of February 3, 2006, on its attributions and organization.
Since 2020, the GDCID is governed by Decree n°00387/PR/MER of October 13, 2020 modifying certain provisions of Decree n° 0422/PR/MDDEPIP of August 9, 2016 on the reorganization of the General Directorate of Customs and Indirect Taxes.
