Temporary importation of personal effects belonging to travelers;
Gifts to Heads of State and Governments;
Samples of negligible value not intended for sale;
Coins and banknotes intended for the Central African States Issuing Institute (BEAC);
Posters and propaganda publications, even illustrated, whose purpose is to promote tourism, fairs or exhibitions abroad, of a general nature, provided that these documents are intended for free distribution and that they do not contain more than 40% of commercial advertising;
Books, brochures and similar printed matter in single sheets, even folded;
Dictionaries and encyclopedias, whether or not in parts;
Albums or picture books and drawing or coloring books for children;
Handwritten or printed music, illustrated or not, even bound.
Except with special authorization from the administration of customs and excise duties, it is forbidden to use the items admitted free of charge for purposes other than those for which the exemption was granted.
